Dental Implant Restorations

Dental Implant Restoration in Chesapeake VA

If you are having any type of difficultly with your dental implants, give us a call and Dr. Webb will explain what's needed to get your implant fixed. We understand dental implant issues can be an inconvenience so give us a call to get your implant restored soon. Dr. Webb ensures every procedure is handled correctly. Worried whether you need restoration or replacement of your implant? No worries! During your examination, we'll let you know whether a dental implant restoration is needed or if replacement is needed instead. We'll discuss all available options and help you choose the best one for you.

What Are Common Dental Implant Issues?

Dental implants are used over bridges and dentures because they are known as a permanent and great looking solution to missing teeth. If you notice a problem with your dental implant, the likely issues are that the implant has become loose or cracked. If you notice your implant becoming loose, it may be from osseointegration never fully taking place. This is the process where the implant fuses with the actual jawbone and occurs during the months following an initial implant procedure. If this process doesn't fully complete, you may experience a loose implant down the road. In this scenario, visit us and we'll determine if this is the actual cause. Gum disease may also cause a deterioration of your bone, causing the implant to loosen. Regardless, a loose or cracked implant is something you want to get examined to prevent infections or more serious issues.

If your dental implant has become loose, give us a call right away. Implants will not tighten on their own and worsen as time passes.

What Does Dental Implant Restoration Involve?

This depends on the severity of the implant being repaired. In many cases, a restoration is possible without requiring replacement. If your actual tooth is cracked, a dental implant restoration can address the issue. If your tooth has completely fallen out, please bring the tooth with you during your next visit so we may determine the severity of the issue. We may be able to salvage the tooth and repair a crack or chip without the need to remove your crown. If your crown is in need of replacement, our team will create a new one for you and make sure it's secured to your implant properly.

If your implant has failed, we will go through the process of determining if we can replace your implant with a new one. We will determine if your mouth can handle a new implant in the same location and if so, remove the old implant so we can replace it with a new one. This will involve going through the entire implant process again and letting your mouth heal after we remove your original implant. We will discuss all options available so we can come up with the perfect solution for you.

We'll Get You Back To Your Life

Visit us to discuss all options available to you. We want to make sure you are happy with your procedure. If you experience any difficulty with your dental implant, please call us as soon as you can so we can prevent more serious issues. We will answer your questions and help you understand the entire process. We work with you from the first stage to the final restoration stage, ensuring excellent tissue compatibility and the best esthetics for your implants.
